Australian Business going Great Guns

BATTLEFIELD SPORTS, the worldwide leader in commercial laser skirmish equipment expands its customer base throughout Europe during the third quarter of its fiscal year 2003, results were announced today. Battlefield Sports continues to build momentum as businesses across the European Union choose laser skirmish equipment to establish new leisure and recreation activities.

Increasingly, businesses are purchasing laser skirmish guns to realize the benefits associated with this new style of adventure games. Businesses from Sweden, Cyprus, Austria, and Belgium are the latest in a growing number of countries that have chosen laser skirmish technology.

Laser Skirmish Guns & Mines
Battlefield Sports build commercial-grade custom laser skirmish guns and mines which "shoot" high-powered infrared light. Born from the popularity of paintball games, the laser skirmish innovation enables longer weapons' range, integrated anti-cheating technology, and means no bruises when players are tagged. Battlefield Sports has created a unique hybrid of paintball-type scenarios with breakthrough laser games technology. Advanced optoelectronics (emitting infrared through a lens and receiving an enhanced signal through special infrared filters) has enabled long-range (150metres+) infrared combat simulation in daylight.

"In fact, a primary reason customers selected Battlefield Sports' equipment is that there is no projectile so the guns are very safe and therefore ideal for conference centers and resorts," said Director of Marketing, Nicole Lander. Laser Skirmish enables participants to play the sport in a wide variety of venues, from ski fields to woodlands, to rainforest tropics, as part of school adventure education, and as both stand-alone laser skirmish battlefields and as a complementary offering at paintball parks.
